My wife and I have boarded our dogs happily at Canine College for over 40 years. Our grown children have also. We all agree that the experience could not have been better. It is most reassuring that our dogs’ tails are wagging enthusiastically as we arrive. They are greeted with open arms by a loving staff, always ready to help our dog make the transition and say his goodbyes.
Four of our family dogs - Jake, Willie, Merlin and Gryff - have been successfully schooled at Canine College. An essential part of the course is training the owners. Each time one of our dogs has completed training, we not only take home a well-trained dog, but well-trained owners, which matters a lot! Simply put, Canine College is as good as it gets in every possible way.

I first came to Canine College when I was in serious need of training help for my German Shepherd, Hugo. After meeting with Sharon and having Hugo evaluated, I decided on the five-week training program, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Sharon quickly recognized that Hugo was an anxious dog, but also one they could work with. The transformation was immediately obvious when he came home. The tools and guidance Sharon and Jim gave me completely changed our lives. Today, I have a happy, well-behaved big dog who respects the hierarchy while still retaining all of his wonderful personality traits. I honestly tell people that the Canine College program saved my life.
After such an amazing training experience, I continued to use Canine College to board Hugo and my 9-year-old Lab mix, Teddy. The boarding experience has been just as outstanding. The staff genuinely care about the dogs and treat them like family. My dogs always come home happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for.
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my boys and couldn’t recommend Canine College more highly—for both training and boarding.
